오미자 Omija

Five flavours, held in a single berry.

Omija is a caffeine-free tea made from a traditional Korean berry —
named for the five flavours found within a single fruit.

Tea Point

In Korea, Omija has long been a tea of summer. Records of the Joseon dynasty tell that King Yeongjo favoured it. A vivid, ruby-coloured tea where five flavours — sweet, sour, bitter, pungent, and salty — meet in harmony.

Five Flavours in One Berry
A bright acidity begins, followed by a quiet sweetness, then a brush of bitterness and umami in soft layers. Five flavours within a single berry, unfolding slowly, one upon another.

Brighter When Brewed Cold
Brewed cold, its ruby colour and bright acidity grow more vivid. In Korea, this berry has long been steeped, sweetened, and even fermented — a part of everyday life across generations.

Tasting Note

Tea Colour — A clear, translucent ruby
Aroma — Bright red fruit and a soft, natural sweetness
The first sip carries a vivid acidity at its centre,
then a gentle sweetness rises,
finishing with a light dryness and a quiet, spicy whisper.

A Berry from Korea's Nature

Mungyeong — Korea’s foremost region for Omija, where ttt’s berries grow. Cultivated in the pure highlands of the Baekdudaegan, between 300 and 700 metres above sea level. Each autumn, the berries ripen into deep red and are gathered for tea. A fine tea begins with fine ingredients. Made slowly, with time and care, every tea is then chosen with expert appraisers, following international standards.

A Time for Omija

For Tea at the Table

A bright acidity cleanses the palate — a tea well-suited before a meal, after a meal, or alongside one.

For a Bright, Lively Acidity
Of the five flavours, sourness is the clearest. For those who seek a tea of sharp, vivid character.

Box & Sleeve
One side carries a brewing guide. The other, a sleeve that slides gently into place — like the knot of an apron tied at the back. The design comes from our tea curator’s uniform — a quiet reminder of the careful hands that prepare every cup.
